Gardening in summer heat
How to save the world with plants #05 by @cast-iron-garden.bsky.social

Gardening in the middle of summer can really run down our batteries, especially if you’re like me and have some chronic health issues.
- You don’t have to do everything at once - it’s okay to plant just a single plant every few days even if you have more!
- I overheat easily. So, I garden for sometimes just five minutes a night, after dark with a headlamp. So much nicer!
- Plant perennial native species in winter (November to March). Then you don’t have to water them except at planting. This reduces stress on both you and the plants.
